"If you are interested in a dynamic French language course which is carefully crafted to suit your needs, than Fusion is for you! As a legal professional I wanted a course that would be relevant to my work and would help me improve my French in that context and generally. Elisa Vena personally designed an excellent course which was very relevant to my field of practice. Well beyond the usual, she carried out extensive research and found articles and reference material of particular interest. She created a course which covered all the critical elements - vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, pronunciation - and was at the same time challenging, interesting and very effective. After 3 hours a week for 12 months and an hour a week for 6 months, I have advanced two levels in accordance with the European standard test. "I was a student of Elisa Vena, the Director of Fusion, for a 9 week period in the summer of 2006. The purpose of the course was to raise my capability in spoke French to the demanding level C which is required of all executive level managers in the Canadian public service. This is a challenging level and calls for candidates to have advanced knowledge of the French language in terms of grammatical structures and vocabulary. Usually instruction is provided in Canada in government language schools where teachers are familiar with the examination requirements. The fact that I was able to pass the examination after only a 9 week period of not quite full time training in Holland is a testimony to Ms. Vena's pedagogical skills. Through contact with the Canadian Foreign Service Language School, she established the elements of French knowledge which would be tested and designed a custom course to ensure that I would succeed during my examination. She adapted the course syllabus to meet my particular needs as we progressed through the course. At all times I found the program to be stimulating and challenging, balancing as it did conversation and grammar. The language schools administrators were very impressed by Elisa's success and I was most grateful."
